What are the fire safety measures at Chandos House?
The safety of students is always our top priority. iQ Student Accommodation takes a highly proactive approach to fire security, including:
Smoke or heat detectors are installed in every bedroom and kitchen.
Sprinklers, wet risers, and automatic smoke ventilation are equipped in some properties, depending on the building design.
Fire detection systems are installed throughout all buildings.
Fire alarms are connected to a central monitoring service, via Red Care, in the vast majority of buildings.
On-site staff underwent specialised training in fire safety, including responding to fire alarms and conducting regular building inspections.
The fire security systems at Chandos House are confirmed by independent fire engineers, regularly maintained and serviced in line with relevant British Standards, and inspected by both external qualified fire risk assessors and internal Health & Safety officers. All properties are verified to be safe and suitable for living.
