Wellesley Student Apartments offers shared, self-catered apartment living on AUT’s City Campus.

Apartment style living
Wellesley Student Apartments offers self-catered accommodation for 502 students. Just a 3-minute walk to the City Campus and close to public transport links, on-campus living is a convenient, safe and social lifestyle.

Each apartment is fully furnished and has 4 or 5 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a shared lounge/dining area and a kitchen.

Special requests for apartment groups
Apartment groups are chosen based on age and course of study, but we will do our best to accommodate any special requests.

When you apply for accommodation, you can tell us if you would prefer to live in a single or mixed gender group and add any comments like rainbow friendly or low alcohol.

Security and support
You can expect a safe and positive university experience at AUT.

The apartments have onsite security 24 hours a day and you also get support from residential assistants (RAs). RAs are student staff members who live in our student accommodation – they provide academic or personal support to residents.

Student accommodation offers a 'residential life' programme during the year, so you can get to know other people and join in social events.

There are 3 bedroom sizes to choose from:

Small (2.6m x 2.5m)
Standard (3.2m x 2.5)
Large (4m x 3.4m)
Every room has a bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, bookshelf and heated towel rail. You need to bring your own bedding and linen, or you can buy a linen pack from our accommodation services team.

There are 13 bedrooms for students with special access needs.

Summer accommodation
AUT students can stay in student accommodation over the summer (November to January) at reduced rates. We also accept bookings from other tertiary students and the public over this time.
